Bio
Namiko Matsushita received her B.A. in Political Science from Keio University in 2003 and her Ph.D. in Sociology from Hitotsubashi University in 2014. She served as a Assistant Professor, Lecturer, and subsequently Associate Professor at Nagoya Sangyo University before assuming her current position as Professor at Suzuka University in 2023. She has served as a member of several expert committees of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, including the Research Committee on Employment Measures for Foreign Workers and the Evaluation Committee for Regional Foreign Talent Integration and Retention Model Projects. She will also serve as a Board Member of the Japan Association for Migration Policy Studies from 2025.
