Future Design: Research on Decision-Making Methods for Intergenerational Sustainability ( –2021)
Policy agendas like the sustainability of public debt, the social security system, and the global environment need to be considered on an intergenerational time-horizon. Our aim is to introduce representatives of future generations into the present-time policymaking process. We will study how such a new decision-making system can be made from theoretical and empirical perspectives, as well as with field experiments, implementing it on a trial basis in cooperation with companies and public entities.
