On October 28, 2026, Mieko Nakabayashi, President of the Tokyo Foundation, met with Shira Loewenberg, Director of the Asia Pacific Institute (API) at AJC (American Jewish Committee), and Hana Rudolph, Associate Director of API. AJC is a US-based Jewish nonprofit organization, founded in 1906 and headquartered in New York, that works on human rights and international affairs.

The discussion introduced the Foundation’s policy research, including the impact of population decline on regional cities, public services, taxation, and energy, and covered efforts to address policy challenges common to many countries.

The Tokyo Foundation will continue to deepen its dialogue with international partners and draw on these exchanges in its policy research and recommendations.
