Bio
Kanasaki Kentaro is currently a Professor in the Faculty of Business Administration at Mukogawa Women's University, following a career in public service and academia. He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Planning Sciences from University of Tsukuba, where he also completed his graduate studies, and a B.A. in Law from Kyoto University.
After joining the Ministry of Home Affairs in 1992, he held numerous significant posts, including Executive Policy Supervisor for Saga Prefecture, Deputy Mayor of Wakayama City,Director-General of the Finance Bureau for Sapporo City. He also served as a Cabinet Counsellor in the Cabinet Secretariat and as a Visiting Professor at University of Tokyo Graduate School. Before retiring from public service in 2020, he was a Professor in the Faculty of Law at Kwansei Gakuin University. Now he has multiple public positions within central government agencies and local authorities.
