Bio
Satomi Odani is a former research fellow at the Office on Smoking and Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in the United States (2016- 2019), and a former research associate at the Medical School of the University of Crete in Greece (2019-2020), providing data analysis support to the European Commission. She also worked as an epidemiological and statistical researcher at the Cancer Control Center, Osaka International Cancer Institute (2020-2023). Her research interests include tobacco control, cancer prevention, and health disparities. She obtained a Master of Public Health from the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University, and has been a doctoral candidate at the Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka University, since 2021.
