Bio
After completing her master’s degree in social work at Washington University in 1995, Nakamura worked on a project to resettle the homeless in Cambodia. Since 1998, she has been involved in a wide range of Japanese official development assistance programs in the health sector in such roles as an associate expert and a project formulation advisor for the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Since 2013, she has been working as a consultant in a private firm and a research fellow at the Institute for Global Health Policy Research of the National Center for Global Health and Medicine. She received her master’s degree from the Department of Global Health Policy, University of Tokyo, in 2010 and her PhD in 2021.
