Senior Fellow (Adjunct), Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry

Graduated from the Faculty of Law, the University of Tokyo. Earned MAs in public administration and applied economics from the University of Michigan, and a doctorate in agriculture from the University of Tokyo. Served in the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries as director of the GATT Affairs Division, director of the Rural Development Division, and deputy director-general of the Rural Development Bureau, as well as in other positions.
