Profile:

Research fellow at the Institute for Ethics, Governance and Law at Griffith University in Australia

Received a SYLFF fellowship between 1999 and 2002 while attending the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Conducted research on Burmese refugees communities in Japan and Thailand for her dissertation. Currently engaged in research projects on protracted refugee situations in Thailand, Nepal, and Bangladesh. Has written numerous articles on Burmese refugees and migrants, political mobilization directed toward Burma, and aid to Burma.
